Grazing naturally workshops to be held in Booligal and Cobar

Landholders will be able to gain valuable insights into landscape management options that will help to increase productivity through two workshops that are being held in the Western region at the end of the month.

The grazing naturally workshops, which are being coordinated by Western Local Land Services, will also demonstrate to landholders how better landscape management can improve the properties natural resource base, provide greater biodiversity and enhance the resilience of the property.

The details of the workshops are:

  1. Booligal, Wednesday 26 June - commence at 9 am on property.
Property host is Gordon Turner, “Woorandera”.
  2. Cobar, Friday 28 June – commence at 9 am on property.
Property host is Rob Chambers, “Osterley Downs”.

These workshops come on the back of three other grazing naturally workshops that were held in Brewarrina, Wilcannia and Anabranch toward the end of May.

This workshop series was attended by 46 landholders and the feedback from participants was overwhelmingly positive.

Dick Richardson, who is an internationally recognised leader in the practice of natural grazing to improve soil depth and health, water retention, increase biodiversity and animal production, will be the presenter for the workshops, as he was for the events in May.

All workshops are fully catered and for this reason please RSVP by Monday, 24 June to Land Services Officer, Andrea Cashmere on 0417 050 138 or email.

These workshops are supported by Western Local Land Services, through Catchment Action NSW funding.
