Charlie Arnott to give keynote address at the NSW Landcare and Local Land Services conference
10 May 2019
NSW biodynamic farmer and grazier Charlie Arnott will give the keynote address at the 2019 NSW Landcare and Local Land Services conference in what promises to be a fascinating and insightful presentation from the winner of the 2018 Bob Hawke Landcare Award.
With just over five months to go to the conference, which for the first time in its 20 year history will be held in the far west (Broken Hill on 22 – 24 October), a number of major announcements are being made as excitement amongst landcarers, landholders and community members builds around the state.
Mr Arnott practices regenerative farming, organic, biodynamic and holistic grazing principles on his 5,000 acre mixed farming property, “Hanaminno”, at Booroowa, NSW.
Passionate about growing clean, healthy meat, the announcement of Mr Arnott’s as the conference’s top drawcard will only add to the anticipation with his approach and practice of biodynamic and holistic principles demonstrative of every aspect of the Landcare ethic.
“Having the opportunity to be the keynote speaker at this conference and present on something that I am so passionate about is a big thrill,” Mr Arnott said.
“This conference will be a fantastic opportunity to share ideas, hear different views and tap into all the knowledge and experience of the Landcare community from across the state so I’d encourage everyone that is able to come along and make the most of the experience.”
Mr Arnott has been an active Landcarer since the inception of the Landcare movement in 1989, with previous roles in all levels of Landcare from district groups to Landcare Australia.
