Confirm your trade stall at the Western Landcare forum today!
13 March 2017
Local producers and organisations have a fantastic opportunity to showcase their produce and network with industry peers by having their own trade stall at the upcoming Western Landcare forum.
The Western Landcare forum, which will be held 4 – 5 August in Broken Hill and has the theme of ‘Healthy Landscapes – Healthy Food’, will highlight the Western region’s unique connection between environmental and production outcomes.
The forum, which is supported by Local Land Services Western Region, will also explore opportunities for landholders in the region to take advantage of current trends in food provenance and sustainable management.
At the forum, Western Landcare is offering local producers and organisations the opportunity to have a trade stall giving their enterprise valuable exposure.
While there will be no cost to landholders or organisations, they must register with Western Landcare by 30 April to ensure their position is reserved.
Local Landcare Coordinator, Alice Jarrett believes the opportunity of having a free trade stall should not be passed up.
“The biennial Western Landcare forum is always a great event and highly beneficial for landholders and stakeholders in the Western region,” Ms Jarrett said.
“This year participants will have an opportunity to develop skills for their own enterprise and work with others to help develop the profile of the Western region and its produce.
“By having a trade stall at this event, landholders and organisations will be able to network with others, share ideas and hopefully learn new and improved ways around marketing their products.”
The forum will include a range of exciting key speakers including 2016 Rural Woman of the Year Sophie Hansen, Major General Michael Jeffery and celebrity chef Matt Golinski.
Register your interest in having a trade stall by 30 April to Ms Jarrett on (02) 6870 8631 or Henry Gregory on (03) 5021 9425.
