Landholders, stakeholders and community members will have a great opportunity to be informed about funding and partnership opportunities with Western Local Land Services at the Wentworth Show which is on this Saturday and Sunday.
Western Local Land Services will have a trade exhibit at the Wentworth Show, with staff looking forward to interacting with customers and detailing recent work that has been carried out in the local area and throughout the Western region.
Some of the topics people can get advice on from Western Local Land Services is:
- funding and partnership opportunities
- agricultural production
- biosecurity management
- natural resource management
There will also be the opportunity to get information about the new Biosecurity Act 2015 which came into effect on 1 July 2017 and the new Biodiversity Conservation Act 2016 which will come into effect on 25 August 2017.
Senior Land Services Officer, Kaye Gottschutzke is hoping to see a steady stream of visitors say hello to Western Local Land Services staff at the display and take the opportunity to catch-up on some of the fantastic projects underway or recently completed in the region.
“These two days are a fantastic opportunity for landholders and community members to come and have a casual chat with us and learn more about the services we provide,” Ms Gottschutzke said.
“It is also a great opportunity for us to catch-up with landholders and community members we have
worked with in recent years and see how they are going.
“Community events like the Wentworth Show are very important for local communities and is something Western Local Land Services is proud to support.”
The Wentworth Show will be held over the weekend of 26 and 27 August at the Wentworth Showground.
