All aboard the Western Local Land Services bus for the Pooncarie Field Day

Landholders, stakeholders and community members will have a great opportunity to be informed about
funding and partnership opportunities with Western Local Land Services at the Pooncarie Field Day on
Saturday 6 May.

Western Local Land Services, who are a major sponsor of the field day, will have a trade exhibit in the
main marquee where staff will engage with landholders and community members and detail recent work
that has been carried out in their local communities and throughout the Western region.

The trade exhibit will also be used to showcase funding and partnership opportunities, provide details on
the services Western Local Land Services deliver and highlight upcoming events that would be of benefit
to landholders and interested parties.

Western Local Land Services District Veterinarian, Sophie Hemley will also be present and able to answer
any questions from landholders, as will a Sustainable Land Management staff member who will provide
information on the new Biodiversity Act.

Western Local Land Services Senior Land Services Officer, Kaye Gottschutzke is hoping to see a strong
turnout at the field day.

“These days are a fantastic opportunity for landholders and community members to come and have a
casual chat with us and learn more about the services we provide,” Ms Gottschutzke said.

“It is also a great opportunity for us to catch-up with landholders and community members we have
worked with in recent years and see how they are going.

“Field days for communities like Pooncarie are very important and it is something we are proud to
support.”

As a major sponsor, Western Local Land Services has engaged best-selling author, Fleur McDonald as a
special guest of the field day.

Ms McDonald will present two sessions in the speaker's tent and be available for book signings at the
Western Local Land Services trade exhibit throughout the day.

To assist landholders and community members attend the field day, Western Local Land Services is also
organising a bus to transport people to and from the field day.

The bus will depart the Visitor Information Centre in Mildura at 8 am, with a pick-up at Wentworth at 8.30
am and depart the field day at 3 pm for the return trip.
