Time is running out to share your opinion

Local Land Services Western Region is reminding landholders and community members in the Broken Hill area that they have less than two weeks to provide their feedback on the Draft Western Local Strategic Plan 2015-2020.

The consultation period closes at midnight on Sunday 22 November.

The plansets out the organisation's vision and goals for the next five years and the strategies and actions that will be implemented to achieve them. It has been tailored to reflect the unique environmental, social and economic conditions for which the Western Region is renown.

Erlina Compton, Acting General Manager said we are seeking feedback from the community to ensure that the plan aligns with their needs and expectations.

"As the plan will help guide what programs and services we will offer over the next five years, it is important for the community to get involved and share their views," Ms Compton said.

"We particularly want people to know what are the issues and challenges for their land management by completing a short survey so we can prioritise our support.

"People can tell us as much or at little as they like – any feedback is welcome."

Local Land Services Western Region is one of eleven regions across the state. The organisation is committed to a local approach and has an experienced team who are genuinely committed to supporting our local agricultural industries, communities and natural systems.

"We've had great interest from the community on the consultation so far, but we are keen to make sure everyone has their chance to help shape the future of Local Land Services Western Region," Ms Compton said.
