Soils for Life
Western Division Resilient Landscapes is a project developed by Soils for Life with the Rotary Club of Sydney.
This project aims to help properties in the Western Division of NSW to build landscapes more resilient to the impacts of drought.
Landholders interested in participating in the program need to complete an expression of interest by 30 June.
Soils for Life is a not-for-profit body chaired by former Governor-General, Major General The Honourable Michael Jeffrey, which promotes natural resource management with an emphasis on soils.
In our region, they have previously completed a case study of Graham and Cathy Finlayson of Brewarrina.
We have been liaising with Soils for Life to support the project at a local level.
There are many landholders who are doing an especially good job in the Western Division and we are happy to assist them to be recognised and to share their knowledge with others.
Soils for Life is seeking two new case studies to further demonstrate the practices that can be applied in the geo-climatic conditions that prevail in the Western Division.
